Hosted by the Holden Beach Merchants Association, the annual NC Festival by the Sea is a free weekend-long event on Holden Beach. The festival begins with a parade — this is the only day of the year that you can walk across the Holden Beach Bridge! (The parade bridge closes around 9:30 AM and reopens at 11:00 AM.)
The Festival by the Sea takes place the last full weekend of October and is slated this year for October 26-27, 2023. The fun weekend is filled with activities for all ages, including a horseshoe tournament, sand castle building contest, arts and crafts vendors, live music, a children's area, and plenty of food!
Admission and parking are free!
Schedule
Saturday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (followed by live music)
Sunday: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
