Autumn Fun for Holden Beach
While every season is spectacular on Holden Beach, our area is teeming with fun adventures for this time of year!
Fall on Holden Beach is renowned for great fishing. Whether you want to charter a boat or fish from your personal boat, fishing is available for all levels and ages. Although the Holden Beach pier is currently closed for renovations, many enjoy casting a line in the surf for fall catches.
North Carolina is well known for golf and Holden Beach is located amdist some of the most popular golf courses along the East Coast. Naturally, many Hobbs Reaty guests throw their clubs in the car to take advantage of the award-winning courses and experience memorable golf outings with friends and family. Golf is certainly near the top of the list for many visitors to Holden Beach.

Events This Fall
North Carolina Oyster Festival
Check out the popular annual North Carolina Oyster Festival at neighboring Ocean Isle Beach October 21-22, 2023.
Admission is $5, and of course, there are oysters galore! Attendees will also enjoy live music, children’s activities, craft vendors, and other classic festival food options.
North Carolina Festval by the Sea
Hosted by the Holden Beach Merchants Association, the annual NC Festival by the Sea is a free weekend-long event on Holden Beach. The festival begins with a parade — this is the only day of the year that you can walk across the Holden Beach bridge! (The bridge closes around 9:30 AM and reopens at 11 AM.)
The Festival by the Sea takes place the last full weekend of October and is slated this year for October 28-29, 2023. The fun weekend is filled with activities for all ages, including a horseshoe tournament, a sandcastle building contest, arts and crafts vendors, live music, a children's area, and plenty of food!
Admission is free!
Petty Fever Concert
What better way to round out the autumn season than enjoying a cozy concert inside the beautiful Odell Williamson Auditorium? You’ll want to check out the Petty Fever show on November 8, 2023, at 7:00 PM.
Founded in Portland, Oregon in 2009, Petty Fever is an award-winning tribute band that performs a high-energy, authentic Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers concert experience. The show features the guitarist/vocalist and 2016 Hollywood FAME Award Winner, Frank Murray.
