Born in Wilmington, NC, Lauren feels blessed to have called the Brunswick Islands home until she departed for college. She actually began working with Hobbs Realty as a teen-aged summer employee, back to the days of manual files! After earning a Bachelors in Journalism and Mass Communication from UNC-Chapel Hill, Lauren worked with a small software start-up, which later evolved into one of the leading vacation rental software companies in the industry. She applied her skills in writing, graphic design, and marketing, as well as gained valuable experience in programing, web design, and customized software for the vacation rental industry. Lauren’s rich history with Hobbs Realty and vacation rentals marketing, coupled with her pleasant professionalism and sweet spirit, have paved the perfect path to return to Holden Beach in her role as the #Hobbspitality Revenue and Marketing Manager.

Best Part of Hobbs Realty: I love the family atmosphere and culture of care in the office. The authenticity and compassion that our team shows one another creates such a genuinely fun atmosphere.

After Hours:  As a mom of four wonderful children, after hours are filled with hours on sports fields, in tumble gyms, or with one another playing games, competing in family bake-offs, or swimming.

Pursuits: I love different languages and one day want to be conversationally fluent in Spanish, French, and Chinese.

Alternate Dream Job: Creative work that allows me to find a way to use God-given talents to give to others and my community, surrounded by kind, energetic, and hardworking people.

Something Others May Not Know: I love trying new things and my newest interest is carpentry. I designed and built our home in 2020, and my husband and I are working together to build an outdoor kitchen area.

Inspired By: I’m inspired daily by my children and family to be a life-long learner and consistently try new things. I love meeting and talking with new people because I think there is tremendous value in hearing the different perspectives and experiences of others. There is always something we can learn from one another.
