During most of the Civil War, Fort Fisher kept the Port of Wilmington open to supply Confederate armies. The fall of Fort Fisher was instrumental in defeating the Confederacy. You can now visit the fort, which has been partially reconstructed, and take guided tours.

Tuesday - Saturday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Sundays: Noon - 5 p.m., Memorial Day Weekend - Labor Day Weekend

Closed Mondays and most major state holidays.
